Delta Downs

On Saturday, April 29, Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel welcomed guests and their Corgis to the track for an afternoon of friendly competition, prizes and fun. Nearly 30 animal contestants competed in three qualifying races before making their way to the championship.

The three Corgi winners, Decker, Ruffles and Ella, dashed down the track and onto victory. The winning pups and their owners chose charity partners to receive a minimum donation of $1,000. The 1st place prize of $3,000 went to Beaumont Pets Alive – a non-profit organization working to improve the health of animals. The 2nd and 3rd place prizes went to Do Good Dog Rescue and Hopeful Paws.

“Thank you to our team members, guests and furry friends for coming out to our first ever, Delta Has Gone to The Dogs Corgi races,” said Joshua Britt, Marketing Manager at Delta Downs. “This family-friendly event was a great way to kick off our highly anticipated racing season.”
